Pretty happy with it

Needed a Virtual Mailbox for when I travel. Signed up for the Basic Plan, and it's been pretty easy. They scan my letters, and I can just see them on my phone. Got a couple of packages forwarded too, and they showed up fine. No real complaints, it just works.

Good service, minor hiccups

I signed up for the Premium Plan a few months ago. The mail scanning service has been great for managing my correspondence while I'm away. The online mail management portal is fairly intuitive. My main issue was with a package forwarding request; it took a bit longer than I expected for them to process and ship it out, adding a few extra days to the delivery time. Customer service was responsive when I inquired, but it felt like the process could be smoother. Overall, it's a solid value for the features provided.

Detailed breakdown of my experience

I decided to go with the Small Business Plan about six months ago for my new venture, primarily for the Virtual Office Address and Mail Scanning. Ordering was straightforward on their website; I just picked the plan and filled out the forms. Getting my address set up took about a week, which was reasonable. They notified me when mail arrived and then scanned the envelopes quickly. I used the PDF Mail Delivery for a few important documents, and the scans were clear and readable. I had one question about the check deposit service, and their support team responded to my email within a day with a clear explanation of the process and fees. I haven't used the package forwarding much, but the few times I did, everything arrived as expected. It's been a reliable service for keeping up with business mail without needing a physical office.

Consistently reliable service

I've been a Traveling Mailbox customer for over two years now, always on the Extended Plan. This latest renewal was as smooth as the last. They've been consistent with their mail scanning speed and the quality of the scans. I've used their International Mail Forwarding a few times, and it's always been dependable, which is a big reason I stick with them. There was one time a couple of years ago a scan was a little blurry, but it was corrected quickly when I mentioned it. Good to see they've maintained their standards; that's why I keep coming back.

I'm an RVer, always on the move. Does Traveling Mailbox actually work well for people who don't have a fixed address?

T Thomas Robinson 1 week ago
Definitely. Many RVers use it. It means you always have a stable address and can get your mail no matter where your wheels take you. Just make sure to plan forwarding ahead of time.

How many letters can they scan each month on the basic plan? I get a fair bit of junk, but also important stuff.

A Adam 1 month ago
The basic plan has a set number of scans included, after that they charge a small fee per additional scan. I think it's like 10-15 scans? You can always upgrade if you find yourself going over a lot.

I'm on the premium plan, so I get more, but I remember the basic one was enough for most personal use if you don't get tons of mail. They show the limits clearly when you pick a plan.

Is there a promo code floating around for Traveling Mailbox right now? Or how do I get that '2 months free' deal?

J Justin H. 1 week ago
The 2 months free usually comes from signing up for an annual plan instead of monthly. That's how I got it. They don't do a lot of random promo codes from what I've seen.

I got a referral code from a friend when I signed up. That's another way to get a discount sometimes, ask around!

do they do any kind of discounts for military folks? My buddy mentioned some services offer that.

L Leah Brown 3 weeks ago
I'm not sure if they have a standing military discount policy. I've only seen the annual plan discount and referral codes. Doesn't hurt to ask their support though!

I haven't personally seen a specific military discount advertised, but sometimes you can find referral codes from other military members if they're using the service.

Hey, I'm thinking about getting a virtual mailbox for my small biz. Can I actually use a Traveling Mailbox address as my official registered agent address?

Z Zach A. 2 weeks ago
Yeah, you totally can. I've been using them for my LLC's registered agent address for over a year now, no issues at all. It's super convenient.

I think for some states there might be specific rules about registered agent addresses. Generally, a physical street address works, and TM provides that. Just double-check your state's regulations to be safe.
